For a Better Future

Our healthcare system now ranks as 30th in the world and 2nd worst in the G7. It is not as a result of lack of spending, it is due to the Canada Health Act prohibiting the offering of private sector insurance and direct cash payments from competing with the existing public health insurance. Our policy mimics the majority of European nations that will allow people to purchase their healthcare in any way they see fit. Be it from a government entity, a private insurance provider, or by paying cash in a private transaction. We intend to honor the Constitution that calls on the provinces to handle healthcare, and the federal government only has jurisdiction in case of infectious disease outbreaks to administer quarantine zones.
